Lunch & Learn: Screenwriting
Participants will be guided through the fundamentals of screenwriting and how to turn personal stories into compelling scripts.
Join us for a dynamic, interactive workshop led by Kelly Larson, faculty at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) and accomplished writer for Batwoman (CW), Nickelodeon, and DC Comics. Trained by renowned creators Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek) and Caroline Dries (Smallville, Vampire Diaries), Kelly will guide participants through the fundamentals of screenwriting and how to turn personal stories into compelling scripts.
This free, hands-on session is open to service members, veterans, spouses, and dependents (ages 16+) and will take place over the lunch hour (45-60 minutes).
All materials will be provided by NYFA. Come explore your creative voice and learn what it takes to bring your story to the screen!
