School Liaison

The School Liaison program (SLP) builds bridges for the academic success of military dependent children by obtaining educational information and assistance from local school districts. The School Liaison Officer supports military families by:

• Working with parents to identify barriers to academic success and develop solutions
• Providing parents with the tools needed to overcome obstacles to education that stem from the military lifestyle
• Promoting and educating local communities and schools about the needs of military children
• Providing information on the availability and access of educational services
